Coalca is a natural refuge with a focus on water and wildlife, so here’s an initial idea for action under the park plan:
- Control invasive plants
This natural character can lead to enjoyable experiences:
- Improve support for interpretation
Some experiences are purely recreational, and part of healthy lifestyle:
- Improve entrance access
And finally, the park has a role to play in the community:
- Oregon City/West Linn/Willamette Falls wayfinding

Coalca would also be a wonderful site to allow bicyclists and pedestrians to tent camp, as there are no tent camping options in this area. It has the facilities to allow this, except for potable water.
